हिंदी:

केरल के उज़्ज़ावर गाँव में एक वैद्य का परिवार रहता था।
पिता दिन-रात जड़ी-बूटियाँ बनाकर गाँववालों का इलाज करते,
मगर घर की हालत इतनी खराब थी कि कई बार चूल्हा भी ठंडा रह जाता।
बेटा रामन रोज़ अपने पिता को थकते देखता और मन में सोचता —
“एक दिन मैं उन्हें आराम दूँगा।”
लेकिन उस वक्त तो स्कूल की फीस भरना ही सबसे बड़ी जंग थी।
हर दिन पाँच किलोमीटर चलकर सरकारी स्कूल जाना,
और वहाँ बैठने की जगह भी कभी-कभी न मिलना,
उसकी ज़िंदगी का हिस्सा था।

In the small village of Ujjavar, Kerala, lived a healer’s family.
His father worked tirelessly making herbal medicines for villagers,
yet their home often went without a warm meal.
His son, Raman, watched his father struggle and thought,
“One day, I’ll give him rest.”

Walking five kilometers daily to a government school,
sometimes without even a seat to sit on —

हिंदी:

एक दिन स्कूल में फीस न देने पर टीचर ने रामन को क्लास से बाहर निकाल दिया।
वह न रोया, न किसी से शिकायत की।
बस जाकर खिड़की के पास खड़ा हो गया।
अंदर मास्टर जी पढ़ा रहे थे — और बाहर खड़ा वह बच्चा
हर शब्द अपने दिल में उतार रहा था।
अगले दिन जब सवाल पूछे गए,
तो जिसने क्लास से बाहर खड़े होकर सीखा था,
वही सबके आगे जवाब दे रहा था।
उस दिन पूरी क्लास चुप थी —
और वह खिड़की अब सिर्फ़ खिड़की नहीं, उसकी किस्मत का दरवाज़ा बन गई थी।

One day, when his fees weren’t paid, Raman was sent out of class.
He didn’t cry, didn’t complain —
he simply stood near the classroom window.
Inside, the teacher spoke; outside, he listened.
The next day, when questions were asked,
the same boy who learned from outside
answered them all flawlessly.

हिंदी:

घर में बिजली नहीं थी, पर सपनों की रोशनी थी।
वह लालटेन की लौ में पढ़ता, और सुबह खेतों में मदद करता।
कई बार किताबों के पन्ने भीग जाते,
पर उसका इरादा कभी नहीं टूटा।
वह कहता था —
“मैं गरीब हो सकता हूँ, पर मेरी सोच अमीर है।”
धीरे-धीरे गाँव के लोग भी उसे “पढ़े-लिखे लड़के” के नाम से पहचानने लगे।

English:

There was no electricity at home, but his dreams glowed brighter than any bulb.
He studied under a lantern at night and helped in the fields by dawn.
Sometimes his books got wet,
but his determination never did.
He often said,
“I may be poor, but my thoughts are rich.”
Slowly, villagers began calling him “the educated boy.”

हिंदी:

पढ़ाई में हमेशा आगे रहने वाला रामन पत्रकार बन गया।
उसकी कलम गरीबों की आवाज़ बन गई।
वह लिखता था उन सचाइयों पर जिन्हें लोग छिपाना चाहते थे।
हर रिपोर्ट के साथ वह समाज की सोच बदलता गया।
लोग उसे अब सिर्फ़ नाम से नहीं,
उसकी सच्चाई से पहचानने लगे।

Raman, who always topped in studies, became a journalist.
His pen became the voice of the poor.
He wrote about truths others wanted to hide.
With every report, he changed the way society thought.
People no longer recognized him by name —
they recognized him by his truth.

 Scene 5 – खिड़की से संसद तक (From the Window to the Parliament)

हिंदी:

वह लड़का जो कभी स्कूल की खिड़की के बाहर खड़ा होता था,
आज देश की संसद में बैठा था।
रामन को देश का पहला दलित उपराष्ट्रपति बनाया गया।
जब उसने शपथ ली,
तो उसकी आँखों में सिर्फ़ एक तस्वीर थी —
वही पुराना स्कूल, वही खिड़की।
वह मुस्कुराया और कहा —
“आज भी मैं सीख रहा हूँ… बस अब खिड़की बड़ी हो गई है।”

English:

The boy who once stood outside a classroom window,
now sat in the nation’s Parliament.
Raman became India’s first Dalit Vice President.
When he took his oath,
